As part of a larger application called Centralized Exceptions, the Business Rules module lets admins create "if then" statements that automate certain tasks in the larger Centralized Exceptions application.
Users can add rules with various conditions and reorder those rules to ensure that the right rules fire at the right time under the right conditions.
To build this, I began in Adobe Illustrator, creating a static, vector version of our design system at the time. After that, I recreated all of our components in Axure as a reusable and shareable widget library. Then, with Bootstrap 3, I created the first version of the design system, writing all of the HTML and SCSS myself.
By default, all rules are enabled and capable of firing for any items that enter the system. Users can toggle off certain rules if they want to disable them without removing them.
